Career progression
Technical depth remained connected to the products, people, business decisions, organizations, and operating systems required to execute.
At SSOE and DKRS, Walter built the multidisciplinary foundation underneath his later leadership work: HVAC, process piping, fire protection, plumbing, MEP coordination, CAD systems, client collaboration, and delivery against schedule and budget. At DKRS, he led CAD work and the MEP design effort for Nashville Metro Schools within a $30M program.
At KONE, Lennox, and First Company, the work expanded from mechanical design and engineering automation into product architecture, patented innovation, manufacturing quality, suppliers, laboratories, facilities, teams, and technical organizations. Responsibility expanded from improving individual workflows and products to leading product portfolios and functions—and improving the systems that created, manufactured, and supported them.
At Daikin, Walter connected direct product engineering to global program and portfolio governance at enterprise scale. At RDT, he held broad engineering ownership and built the organization, laboratory, product-development, compliance, manufacturing, supplier, documentation, and field-support capability required for portfolio transformation. Davis Executive Engineering brings both dimensions—operating at scale and building from the ground up—to client organizations.
